Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the general accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
- Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and financial reporting.
- Manage the annual budget process, working closely with department heads to develop accurate forecasts and spending plans.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and manage the preparation of tax filings and audits.
- Collaborate with external auditors during the financial audit process, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decision-making, including cost-saving initiatives and investment opportunities.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a management role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience managing budgets and financial planning.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- CPA certification is highly preferred.
